Thousand Oaks High School Baseball

Welcome to Thousand Oaks High School Baseball Boosters 2011

Funny How...

Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field? ~Jim Bouton, 1988

In the final analysis...

Nolan Ryan is pitching much better now that he has his curve ball straightened out. ~Joe Garagiola

Thousand Oaks High School Baseball Booster Club

2010-11 Baseball Booster Club Membership Donation

This year’s Baseball Booster Club Membership Donation will be $ 300.00 for each player for each half-year period (September to January and February to June). This is $600, in total, for those players involved with the baseball program for the entire year.

When are the membership donations typically made?
The membership donation is typically payable for each semester.

The fall semester donation of $300 is due by September 30.

The winter/spring donation of $300 is due by February 15.

The fall Booster Club Membership Donation can be paid at the Freshmen Welcome BBQ.

How does the billboard sponsor program work?

Organizations or individuals can donate $450 to get a new 8’x4’ billboard placed behind the varsity outfield fences for one year. Billboards can then be renewed for a 1-year period for a $175 donation. You may renew @ $175. as a returning sponsor indefinitely unless you have an artwork change then of course you will need to pay for those changes.

If you solicit a new Billboard donation of $450, then $300 of the Billboard donation will be allocated to the membership donation, for up to 2 billboard donations. Also, if you solicit three Billboard Renewal donations of $175 each, then $300 of the Billboard donation will be allocated to the membership donation.

Where does the membership donation go?

Each year the Booster Club works to support the baseball program both financially and through multiple fundraising efforts behind the scenes. We welcome and solicit ALL helpers and suggestions.

What are some other ways to contribute to the TOHS Baseball Booster Club

Adopt a Player - Lancer Baseball is trying to offset the rising cost to the players families by expanding it's financial support. Coach Jimmy Stueve and his staff are already working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. This year the goal is to replace the safety equipment for our players. As a fan of T.O.H.S.,T.O.H.S. baseball and/or this baseball player you have been selected for a unique opportunity to Sponsor-A-Player for the upcoming season.

Buy a Brick
Lancer Baseball has been part of our community for many years. For $100 you can buy a brick, an everlasting presence at the school. As you enter the Varsity Baseball stadium there is a wall that has personalized bricks, we would like to continue adding to this wall. Family, friends, and businesses can purchase a brick.
Some of the benefits are as follows:

  • 100% of proceeds go directly to baseball to purchase necessary equipment.
  • You can make a statement, encourage those that follow, express anything in words.
  • Tax Deductible (Tax ID 95-6153775)
  • The only personal piece of memorabilia in existence at the baseball field.
  • Support local athletic teens in their quest for excellence.
  • Up to 2 lines of 20 characters each.
  • Makes for a great endless gift.
  • Please don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Once the wall is filled no more bricks will be sold.

What about the end of season banquet?

The season culminates in a banquet following the completion of the regular season to honor our players, salute our departing seniors, and say thanks to our coaches and staff. Parent volunteers work to make this a very special evening for all. Plan on a LONG night!

Usually a slide presentation is given at the banquet. All photographers are invited and encouraged to submit digital photos for the presentation as well as the web page.

What is the non-profit status of the TOHS Baseball Booster Club?

The TOHS Baseball Booster Club is one of many clubs at Thousand Oaks High School that report to the Lancer Booster Club. The Lancer Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization, and as such, donations made to any of the Lancer Booster Clubs are a tax deductible donation. A copy of the IRS Ruling letter can be viewed by request.

If you are interested in volunteering to help with the Board or Baseball activities, we welcome your interest. Please email a board member for assistance.
